Embrace Your Brokenness

Everyone I have ever met is broken in some way. Some have had difficult childhoods; others struggle with mental illness, homelessness, or addiction. There is no such thing as a perfect human being. All human beings endure difficulty of some kind that leaves us less than whole. Today I encourage you to embrace your brokenness by sharing your story with someone. When we share our story, we begin to heal and we automatically heal and inspire those around us. Ernest Hemmingway said, ““We are all broken—that’s how the light gets in.” I like to think of the “light” Hemmingway was talking about as our loving God. I know for certain that in my life, God enters me through my broken places with a quiet whisper, “I love you precious child, My love will mend you.”
Peace be with you, Sarah
